Capabilities
Solid wood moves. Our vacuum-assisted, dual-flow air seasoning chambers bring every plank to 6–10% moisture before a single cut is made, so joints stay tight through an ocean crossing and a Chicago winter. It was the first plant of its kind in northern India, and it still sets the tempo of the factory.

Process
Each stage gates the next. A program is only released to the floor once the counter-sample is signed off.
Your CAD, sketch or reference photo becomes a shop drawing with bill of materials, target FOB and carton dimensions.
First sample, then counter-sample after your comments. Finish panels approved against your colour standard.
Planks graded, chemically treated and dried to 6–10% moisture in our own chambers.
Four-side moulding, sanding and jointing by machine; carving, dovetails and iron forging by hand.
Stains, lacquers, waxes and powder coats applied in booth; each piece checked against the approved finish panel.
In-line and final inspection to AQL; third-party inspection welcomed. Load tests on seating.
Export cartons, container loading plan and documents; sailings from Nhava Sheva to US and EU ports.
Materials
All timber is sourced from Indian plantation and agroforestry supply, with documentation for Lacey Act and EU import declarations.
Natural · wax finishDalbergia sissoo · Indian rosewood
The wood Jodhpur's furniture trade was built on. Dense, tight-grained and deep brown with darker streaks, it takes carving cleanly and polishes to a glass finish. Our standard timber for case goods, dining and heirloom-grade pieces.
Natural · matte lacquerAcacia spp. · plantation-grown
Our most-shipped timber to US importers: strong, stable once seasoned, and lively in figure with contrasting sapwood and heartwood. Suits the reclaimed, live-edge and wood-and-iron looks that retail programs favour.
Natural · light stainMangifera indica · orchard-harvested
Taken from orchards after their fruiting life, mango is the sustainable choice buyers ask for by name. Lighter and more even in tone, it takes colour stains and painted finishes well and keeps landed cost down on volume lines.
Natural · oil finishVachellia nilotica · desert acacia
The hardest of the local timbers and native to Rajasthan's arid belt. Reddish-brown and very durable, we use it for turned legs, bed rails and structural members where strength matters more than figure.
Forged · matte blackHand-forged and MIG-welded mild steel
Jodhpur's ironwork tradition sits beside the wood shop. Frames are forged, welded, ground and then powder-coated or hand-finished, so wood-and-iron pieces are engineered together rather than sourced apart.
Heritage
Bhati & Company was founded in 1999 in Jodhpur, the Rajasthan city whose blue-washed old town and wood-carving lanes have supplied the world's furniture trade for a century. The company is now in its third generation, and being customer-focused is part of the family's DNA rather than a slogan on a wall.
We grew from a workshop into an integrated exporter by investing in what buyers could not see in a showroom: seasoning, machinery, packing engineering and the logistics discipline to hit a sailing. Today we show at Europe's and North America's principal trade fairs and ship container programs to some of the largest home retailers in the United States.
What has not changed is the bench. Carvers, turners, polishers and blacksmiths trained in Jodhpur's guild tradition still make every piece by hand where the hand does it better.
Wooden furniture workshop established by the Bhati family for export buyers.
Forging and welding shop brought in-house to serve wood-and-iron collections.
Continuous shipments to US importers recorded from this year onward.
Vacuum-assisted dual-flow chambers, 15,000 cu ft per month; the first of its kind in northern India.
18,000 sqm works at Basni II Phase, exhibiting at Ambiente, Tendence and North American markets.
